Visualize the Storm Impact

Advance notice that matters

Weather patterns around the world are changing. With the increase in solar production, hail predictions and the size of hail has become increasingly important to solar farm owners and operators. Hail over one inch on solar panels can be a serious problem, causing breaking or cracking, which could limit or stop output until they are repaired or replaced. While there are many weather forecast sources on the market, the majority only provide information on large, general areas and are not specific to a single solar farm. Seeing an approaching hailstorm in direct correlation to your solar farm and assets, as well as seeing which areas of the solar farm the hailstorm may hit and the hail size probability, will give you information you need to make informed decisions about your assets and team safety.

Decisions with Confidence

We've all heard the phrase, "a picture is worth a thousand words". Indji Watch delivers the visual content you need to see the storm development, intensity and projected impact hours before arrival. Using high-resolution forecast radar, Asset Managers can zero in on the time of arrival well in advance of the storm. With hourly updates, you can regularly check to see if the storms are speeding up or slowing down their arrival time. As the storm nears, Indji Watch high impact alerts for damaging hail will be issued. The Indji Watch patented technology will only send the alert if the threat is imminent to your asset based on the parameters you define. Hail storms passing 10 miles to the south of your site will not trigger alerts, allowing you to continue operations as normal. When the threat is real, you'll have the time needed to stow your panels in a safe position.
